They drift with the tides

Too hurt to come to shore.

This has a really powerful message, I think it's excellent and I love the way it flows, all the way to the end. But I can't quite grasp the last line ... I'm not sure what they're supposed to see ... ?

lol. this song is about depression. and in depression, your so hurt or sad about something that you shut down. When you start to come out of your depression things are hopeful, but the wrong trigger comes along it can undo all of the work.
That last line means that the person/persons have made it through. However since you can get depressed over different things, for now was more appropriate. Also since this was being told from by a 3rd party observer, "for now i think" was also appropriate
