Default Early 90's Female Pop Artist Help

For years now I've been trying to remember the title/lyrics/artist from an album I once had. From what I can recall the DVD cover was in a forest or jungle green with the female artist in the middle. Unfortunately I cannot recall much more other than it was a pop hit in 90-91. To date I've had no luck finding any additional information on her and would love to once again obtain the album if anyone has any ideas who I am referring to???

    Anyone???

Could it possibly be Betty Boo (Alison Clarkson)

Single: "Doin' The Do" May 1990 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sM_9A...feature=artist

Single: "Where Are You Baby?" August 1990 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1X3me...feature=artist

    Album: "Grrr! It's Betty Boo" 1992 http://www.discogs.com/Betty-Boo-Grr...elease/1712627

Ha ha....there's a blast from the past! Unfortunately not the artist I am looking for. I believe the female artist was possible a one hit wonder, and is more of a soft pop in comparison to Betty Boo.

    Any other ideas?

How about this....does anyone have a site which lists all the female artists by year? It's been killing me all these years trying to pull this one out of my butt, I know I didn't imagine having this album, I'm certain of that!

    Any suggestions/help is greatly appreciated!

Well, you've confused me throughout with your "DVD cover".

Did you happen to mean a CD cover?
(As DVDs still must have been in prototype state back in '91/'92 )

Sorry yes I did in fact mean the 'cd' cover not 'dvd'. Sorry I cannot be of much help with this, but was hoping someone would possibly have the album and know what I was referring to in regards to the cover image on the cd.

Is it possible that you're thinking of Juliana Hatfield when she was with The Lemonheads?

Wow, there is a blast from the past that I forgot all about!!! Sadly however, still not the right artist

I would think I would be able to find a listing of all the female pop artist from the early 90's somewhere, but as of yet I've not been able to locate a 'complete' listing, only the big names...

Nope but another good album. The album I am seeking if I recall correctly depicts the artist sitting or laying down in front of a forest or possibly a jungle (vine like) setting.

I think maybe you got it confused. Could it be a song from Deep Forest (CD album cover shows a green jungle) and their greatest hit "Sweet Lullaby" by Afunakwa's voice singing "Rorogwela" to a dance beat ?
    Hope it helps... Dan

Hey Dan.....no that is not it....There is only one person on the cover art and is a female. Although I had purchased the CD in 1990 it could've been an 88 or 89 release but I believe it was new when I purchased it in 90.

Nope not it....have not heard of this group in fact, but I did listen to all the tracks to see if I was mistaken, sadly, still not the artist I'm seeking.
