i would be soooooo thankful if anyone could translate the following sentence for me:

almasi uzu hikeye iste ben inun yanida kaldi bir kac sene

it is NOT from a song, but maybe maybe one of you can help me anyway???

at first I must say that:
this sentence had been written with wrong turkish words..
but i'm trying to translate

"taking is long story..
I have stayed with him/her during a few years"
