Here "a ti" may be redundant in the perspective of another languages, but in Spanish is used to give enphasis so constructions verb+te+a ti OFTEN work like this. Congratulations it's one more translator to the team.

And asgard_shill you are right here palpitar is a a true noum.

Thanks algebra for your explanation and correction. When I translated this song, it was written 'partida' not palpitar.
Also I'm not sure about cielo. It can be sky or heaven. Which one do you think?

Hi dear Berna, I do not see explict difference between these words, but of course there are moments each one has its particular sense:

Volaré hasta el cielo
I will fly to the sky
Y Jesus nos espera en el cielo
And Jesus waits for us in the heaven
