Fiorella Mannoia: Vieni qua, vieni qua, io ti volevo bene,
ma riparlarne è inutile, inutile, non ha più senso pensarti, capire, provare o sparire
Vieni qua, vieni qua, le solite parole
di un sentimento fragile, fragile, come l’asfalto consuma la suola, l’amore si odia.
N: ah, se fosse tutto facile
N & M: ah, se fosse ancora innamorata di te
M: ed ogni petalo sai
N: si finge di essere una rosa
M: per ogni goccia vorrei
N: diluvio sopra ogni cosa
M: ma tu non meriti più un battito di questa vita
N: che tutto quello che conta
M: se conta
N: sei come colla sulle dita
M: ed ogni petalo, sai, si finge di essere una rosa
N & M: per ogni goccia vorrei diluvio sopra ogni cosa
M: ogni cosa
N: ma tu non meriti più un attimo della mia vita
M: per tutto quello che conta
N: se conta, sei la mia impronta sulle dita.
Naomi: Come here, come here, I have to say to you
all those things, things that you did not want to feel, suffer, enjoy or finish.
Come here, come here, always the same story
an unstable equilibrium, unstable, collapsing to the wind of a new glory, love is hate.
Ah, if it was that easy, ah, if he was still in love with me
and every petal, you know, it pretends to be a rose
for every drop I would flood over all
but you do not deserve more than a beat of this life
for everything that matters, if it counts, you're like glue between the fingers.
Fiorella Mannoia: Come here, come here, I wished you well,
but talk about that is pointless, useless, it has no more sense to think, understand, test, or disappear
Come here, come here, the same words
a feeling fragile, fragile, as the asphalt consumed the sole, love is hate.
N: Ah, if it was all easy
N & M: Ah, if he was still in love with you
M: You know, and every petal
N: it pretends to be a rose
M: I would like for every drop
N: Flood above all
M: But you do not deserve more than a beat of this life
N: that is all that matters
M: if it does matter
N: You are like glue on fingers
M: and every petal, you know, it pretends to be a rose
N & M: for every drop I would flood over all
M: everything
N: But you do not deserve more than a moment of my life
M: for all that matters
N: If you count, you're my mark on the fingers.
Correct my mistakes please. because I am just starting to learn Italian..so I may have some mistakes. Thanks.
Thanks a lot Kat, I appreciate the translation. I'm teaching myself Italian, translating songs helps but I'm not too good yet, so go over other people's translations. I think "io ti volevo bene" could also mean "I loved you".
I'm wondering about the title actually: "L'amore si odia". There are a few different translations around on the youtube. I might have thought it means "the love that one hates". Can anybody clarify what it means please? Thanks.
I'm not sure about the translation but I think that "L'amore si odia" can be roughly translated to "the love you hate" "or maybe "you have to hate love".
The phrase might means that love has (or has done) something that makes it hateful to you.
In English "I love you" it is used for everyone: lover, parents and friends.
In italian "Ti voglio bene" can be translated with "I like you", "I care for you" is generally used for parents, brothers, friends, or even your pet.
"I love you" means literaly "ti amo" and it usually for a boyfriend, or a husband.
It doesn't necessary implies a deeper feeling, sometimes it's just a matter of form. You can think that your brother is the most important person for you in the whole world but you probably won't say him directly "ti amo".

"-Please tell me you're going to appeal to my humanity..."
"-Actually, I'm planning to threaten you."
"Well, if you'll excuse me, I have work to do. Evil plots don't just make themselves, you know!"
Thank you Ligeia, that was really helpful
