I can't say I'm a country fan lol but I like mumford and sons. Taylor swift isn't a favorite of mine but I can't argue that she is an AMAZING lyricist!

My favorite songs at the moments are Little Secrets by Passion pit and Heart It Races by Architecture in Helsinki. Yours?

Man... there are way too many bands I like to name all of them... I like Classic Rock, Modern Hard Rock, Classic Hard Rock, Metal of all genres and subgenres except for Black Metal which I loathe, Bluegrass, blues, contemporary jazz, jazz, stoner rock, gothic country, outlaw country, a very, very select amount of rap (mostly underground rap such as ICP, Twiztid and Blaze Ya Dead Homie), some Shoegaze and 2 step and some electronic music. As for playing an instrument, unfortunately, no, I don't. I can arrange music. I have a program on the PC that allows me to choose instrument synths and arrange music, so I can make my own electronic music but I wouldn't say you have to have a godawful amount of talent to do that, just patience and a good ear for what sounds good and what doesn't.
