يا آخذا بالنواصي
Oh you who takes upon one’s misdoings
أدرك غريق المعاصي
Save he who is drowned with sin
وامنن عليه بلطف
And bless him kindly
يفضي به لخلاص
And lead him to salvation

واغفر له كل ذنب
And forgive him for every sin
يخشاه يوم القصاص
[Every sin] That he fears of for the day of retribution
وامنن عليه بلطف
And bless with kindness
ومقعد غير قاص
And give him a seat without judgment (meaning without imposing anything on him)

يا واهب الفضل جزلا
Oh generous giver
لطائع ولعاصي
For both the obedient and the sinner
يا آخذا بالنواصي

إن لم تدارك بلطف
If you won’t save me with your kindness
فليس لي من مناص
Then I have no escape
أين الهروب وما من
