So, as I understand the root of "شعر" can mean "hair", "poem" and "feeling"?
Jesus Christ, good lord and his mother, Maria, the innocent; what the ****?

Both hair and poem have same writing but different pronounciation
Hair:شعر Sha3r (having fatha over shin)
Poem: شعر Shi3r (having kasra under shin)
But for feeling مشاعر

And yes they all have the same root of ش ع ر
There might also many other words having the same root e.g. استشعار، شعيرة، شاعر، شعير

Yes, of course. I always study the linguistical history of my learning languages. And to know about "roots" seems essential for learning the Arabic language, now does it not?

Ofcourse if you intend to really and fully understand as well as know the language, it's important.

Of course, you may ask. I turned 17 about a month ago.
It's hard to tell, I am a native Turkish and have been born in Germany, and English is like a mother tongue to me; I do not know why.

But, I can say from experience, that I need about 6 months to have embedded the rough grammar of a language and speak simple sentences, another 6 to have a solid reading and listening comprehension and the following months/years I spend on specific idioms.
Arabic is, by far, the hardest language I have ever learned!

I learn largely by listening to contemporary music of the particular language. Or, rather: I come to learn a language by the music I listen to. When I stumble into music I like in a foreign language, I am mostly always tempted to learn that language.

I see where you got this passion to learn languages
Mashallah, you're still so young and know all these languages... "Knock the wood"... then I think you should work in sth related to international relationships, don't you think so?

Though you're still good, ofcourse you'll improve day by day... But honestly the hardest part is that we have so many dialects beside Fus7a or what it may be called Standard or Formal Arabic.

I will, however, study linguistics and plan on being a linguist, doing researches and stuff.

Oh, yes, the lovely dialects. They make the language so interesting! So many nuances; the same language yet sometimes mutually unintelligible! That gives me the thrills

Really! Umm I go to a lady to learn Turkish, I believe I can understand generally, but when it's my turn to speak everything I learnt flies away! and I remain silently thinkign like a rock...

Well I thought you'd recommed me some other techniques since you're the one with better history in learning languages. But for me,
I may find that reading is good because it's true that I learn new stuff by listenig but reading might draw my attention to sth I haven't noticed before...
either from teaching books or from the web, and for me I'm still using the teaching books (Tomer center book), also I listen to series thought sometimes when it comes to different dialect it's hard to follow them up.

Aw, but our dialects are not NEARLY as different as yours! ;D

Yes, movies are a GREAT way; I got fluent in English by watching them movies in the original language, which is English
