    and when she waves her handkerchief
    all the neighbourhood shout at her, come along

    Once they were in a party, He stepped forward and gave her a flower,
    she wore it in her hair,
    and who knows what did he whisper to her

    Last time they saw her, while saying goodbye to her dad,
    they said goodbye, and all the neighborhood cried over her farewell.
