Nek - Notte di Febbraio

Hi, I really like the song "Notte di Febbraio" by Nek, and have tried to translate it, but I think I've made quite a lot of mistakes, and there are some parts I don't understand. Would it be alright if someone please helps with my translation, or provides a better one?
I am teaching myself Italian and have learnt a lot from the translations on this site. Thank you for them.

Be with me, it's early and at last what hurry is there

anche se fuori dall'auto già piove da un'ora

e sale piano la voglia di una casa,
and gently salt the desire of a house

una candela da accendere
a candle to light

e poi spegnere.
and then to extinguish.

Come un'illusione dopo fiumi di rancore
Like an illusion after a river of rancour

tu sei dentro quella vita che vorrei.
You are inside that life that I would like

Splendida visione in un deserto di dolore
splendid vision in a desert of sorrow

ho già i brividi se penso che ci sei.
I already have shivers if I think that you are there


Scaldami ed io poi farò lo stesso,
Warm up to me and then I will do the same,

prendimi io sono indifeso adesso.
You take me and I am defenceless now.

E parlami di te: la vita che sognavi
And it speaks to me of you: the life that you dreamed of

era questa, insieme a me, oppure no?

No, don't tell me.

Parlarti ancora mentre il mondo affiora,
It speaks to you still while the world emerges,

dirti che non sei sola e lo sai.
Told you that you are not alone and you are.

La tua pelle ora, tutto il resto vola...

And in the nothing alone we...

Far away a light gives poetry:

non andar via.
Don't go away.
