1980s song - I can't remember the name!
Hi,
I was listening to the 80s radio station a couple of weeks ago and I heard this song. I (unfortunately) can't remember the name of the song, the artist or what the words were but I very clearly remember an instrumental part of the song, that would have been maybe 1/2 way through the song.
I can think exactly of what the instrumental sounds like in my head - it sounded like it was either played on a xylophone or a keyboard, probably a keyboard. I'm pretty sure it the song is well known, and possibly by an Australian band (I'm from Australia). It went like "dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dunnnn dun dun dun dun dun", and as said above it sounded like it was played on a keyboard and is most probably, if not very likely an 80s song that the name of has just slipped my head, and the part of the song I described was (I think - not 100% sure) about 1/2 way through the song - it may be between a verse and the chorus, or the chorus and another verse.
Thanks for all your help in advance,
Jake

What was the genre of the song? Singer was male or female?
But just for me to say that I gave it a shot
, try A-HA "Take on me"
"Gilgamesh, where are you hurrying to?
You will never find that life for which you are looking.
When the gods created man they allotted to him death,
but life they retained in their own keeping"

Hi Amethystos,
The song I am thinking of is an 1980's song, and I'm pretty sure it was a male singer, possibly part of a band.
I can corfirm, though, that the song isn't "Take on Me".
Thanks in advance,
Jake
