έχω τόσα βράδια - it has been many nights. Why "it has been" ? έχω is first person....
να σε δω και δεν κοιμάμαι- I know it's first person, because of δω, but I can't see the negation. Why: I have not been seeing ? να σε δω doesn't literally means : to see you?

    Let me try ...

... I am afraid I am unaware of any "rules" of grammar about it ...

however, ... my "common sense" ... will try to "explain" this as best as I am able to ...
To be is to do - Plato
To do is to be - Socrates
Do be do be do - Frank Sinatra

"na se do" ... does mean "to see you" ...

IF ... it was a "present perfect tense", it would be "σε έχω δει..." ... to translate into "I have seen you ..." ...

    ...
    However, ...
To be is to do - Plato
To do is to be - Socrates
Do be do be do - Frank Sinatra

    ...
    However, ...

... because, it is "ΕΧΩ ΝΑ ..." ... that states an "undertaking" ... an "assignment", that is in need to be fulfilled ... AN INTENTION ...

To do is to be - Socrates

    and also A PURPOSE ...

... subsequently, in its "literal" form the phrase would then "mean" ...

    "I have a purpose to see you ... "

έχω τόσα βράδια να σε δω και δεν κοιμάμαι
haven't "seen" you in so many nights and I haven't been sleeping

But you translated both of them as present perfect, although none looks like present perfect: έχω να σε δω( cause I suppose έχω is related to να σε δω) and δεν κοιμάμαι.

    And
"I have a purpose to see you ... " is this like a "future" form?

    ...

and successively ... the "purpose" or "intention" of "Έχω να ... do so and so", ... could ALSO mean a "negation" of the fact ... by its "content" in the "whole conversation" ...

    For example ...
To be is to do - Plato
To do is to be - Socrates
Do be do be do - Frank Sinatra

So it's not my "plan" like "going to " form in english, it's a duty "I have to"

eho na can also be used in all context of I have to.... whatever I have to do? This is the common expression: eho na + verb in first person singular present tense?
