    Default Big Fanny

Has anyone ever heard a song with the following lyrics:
Big Fanny, she was big and she was bad
Big Fanny, she was also kind of sad
There wasn't anybody who could put big Fanny down
She was big and bad and ugly and she weiged 300 lbs

It was on one side of a 45 record. Possibly from 50's, 60's or early 70's.

I would like to know the artist, name of the song and the rest of the lyrics.
    Thanks!

I remember it well, but can't quote many more lyrics. There was something about a grizzly bear and being born in a rice paddy. I think I might have an old beat-to-death copy somewhere in the basement.

From a little Google searching, I'm pretty sure this was a single by Ray Neil on Plantation Records sometime in the mid-60s (during the Vietnam War). The A-side was "The Medic."

Neil seems really obscure. There's no listing for him on the All Music site and Google doesn't turn up anything either.

The label number on the single is BH6538 and it's for sale on the Brothers Records website.

Glad you found it, I'm gonna look on e-bay...I was going to help with a verse I remember..."She weighed 300 lbs. stood five foot five and had an odor more dead than alive, the greased back hair on her dimpled chin and her big belly rumbled like a lions den...Big Fanny!

No one knew who was Fanny's daddy, she turned up one morning in a wet rice paddy...standin' there kinda stupid and stiff and even the dogs refused to sniff of Big Fanny!

I'm old enough to remember when this came out. Wish member mjlif could post ALL the lyrics of her record she got from eBay (there are none now). Also, could not find the Brothers Record website that member Mississippi Snopes mentioned. This song literally started in my brain 4 days ago. My wife and family look at me as if I had lost my mind when I started to sing the lyrics that I could remember:

Big Fanny was out on a hill one night
Fightin' a bear in the big moonlight
The bear stuck a craw in Big Fanny's eyes and all the world said "good-bye" to Big Fanny

Big Fanny got tired of playing with that bear and grabbed two handfulls of his manegy hair
She gave a karate chop and a judo roll and knock that big, bad bear out cold, Big Fanny

Would love to get the rest of the lyrics and/or a copy of the song.

    Thanks.

These are the lyrics to the best of my memory. I knew it by heart for years but it's been a long time.

    Chorus:
Big Fanny, she was big and she was bad.
Big Fanny, she was also kind of sad.
There wasn't anybody who could put Big Fanny down.
She was big and bad and ugly and she weighed three hundred pounds.

She weighed three hundred pounds and stood five foot five.
She had an odor more dead than alive.
Her long greasy hair on her dimpled chin, her big belly rumbled like a lions den.

    Chorus:
    Big Fanny!

Well no one knew who was Fannies daddy, she turned up one day in a wet rice paddy.
Just looking stupid and standing stiff and even the dogs refused to sniff of Big Fanny.

    Chorus:
Big Fanny, she was big and she was bad.
Big Fanny, she was also kind of sad.
There wasn't anybody who could put Big Fanny down.
She was big and bad and ugly and she weighed three hundred pounds.

Big Fanny was up in the mountains one night, assaulting a bear and doing it right.
That bear stuck a paw in Fannies eye and all the people said good-bye to Big Fanny.

    Chorus:
    Big Fanny!

Big Fanny got tired of playing with that bear and grabbed two handfuls of his mangy hair. She gave a karate chop and a judo roll and knocked that grizzly bear out cold.

    Chorus:
    Big Fanny!

Well, Big Fanny hung around for a couple of years. Smoking ce-gar butts and mooching beers. Then one morning she was up and gone back to the jungle hunting Viet Cong.

    Chorus:
Big Fanny, she was big and she was bad.
Big Fanny, she was also kind of sad.
There wasn't anybody who could put Big Fanny down.
She was big and bad and ugly and she weighed three hundred pounds.

Nice job Zoe! Here's how I remember it, with another verse or two. This is also from memory, from an 8-track tape we played endlessly as kids. "Country Hits Vol. 3", or something along those lines. I also found a punk version with slightly modified lyrics on the internet about 10 years ago.

    Chorus:
Big Fanny, she was big and she was bad.
Big Fanny, she was also kind of sa-ad.
There wasn't anybody who could put Big Fanny down
She was big and bad and ugly and she weighed 300 pounds.

She weighed 300 pounds, stood 5 foot 5
And had an odor more dead than alive.
Had black greasy hair on her dimpled chin
And her big belly rumbled like a lion's den - Big Fanny.

No one knew who was Fanny's daddy
She turned up one day in a wet rice paddy
Just lookin' stupid and standin' stiff
And even the dogs refused to sniff of Big Fanny

    Chorus

Some say she came from around Hanoi,
Where she got in a fight with some VC boys.
She blowed her garlic breath in those VC's face
And they dropped like flies all over the place - Big Fanny.

The cops finally put big fanny in jail,
Gave her thirty days, wouldn't set no bail.
She gave a might belch and struck a match
And the gas blowed a hole in that booby-hatch - Big Fanny.

    Chorus

Big Fanny was up in the mountains one night
A-fightin' a bear in the soft moonlight.
The bear stuck a claw in Fannies eye
And all of the people said good-bye to Big Fanny.

    Big Fanny-eee! (bridge)

But Fanny got tired of playing with that bear
And grabbed two handfuls of his mangy hair.
She gave a karate chop and a judo roll
And knocked that grizzly critter out cold - Big Fanny.

    Chorus

Big Fanny hung around for a couple of years
Smoking ci-gar butts and mooching beers.
And then one morning she was up and gone
Back to the jungle huntin' Viet Cong - Big Fanny

On the jungle roads in North Viet Nam
There's trees a-growin' with signs nailed on.
They say "If you leave this road, be careful pal
Somewhere in that jungle is a big bad gal" - Big Fanny.

Big Fanny, she was big and she was bad.
Big Fanny, she was also kind of sa-ad.
There wasn't anybody who could put Big Fanny down
She was big and bad and ugly and she weighed 300 pounds.

There wasn't anybody who could put Big Fanny down
She was big and bad and ugly and she weighed... three... hun... dred... pounds.
