The best after-hours cd is BTS 2007. Shame they dont have CDs like that during store hours that we could all dance to and goof off to like we do after-hours lol

I just got out of an all day shift and heard this new spring set like three times.

There's a song that sounds like it could be a Pinback song, but I can't really tell. I don't remember any of the lyrics.

Here's what I remember:

Matisyahu - King Without a Crown (live)
Band of Horses - Is There a Ghost
Soulja Boy (which every little kid in the store starts dancing to as soon as it comes on... totally hilarious)
Foo Fighters - Monkey Wrench
Fergie - Clumsy
The Bird and the Bee - Again & Again
Sara Bareilles - Love Song

And then some stuff I think by Will Smith and some band that sounds like the Beastie Boys.

I'm not sure how I feel about this set. Some of it's fun, but there's not too much to jam out to...

i actually like this dvd.. it plays a lot of songs that normally don't show up on ae dvds.. like the song by muse. it has a lot of the same type of music that we have on our cds that we play before/after. i can't even remember the last time we played the before/after hours cds.. i think we've only played them maybe once in the four years i've been there and that was because the store manager at the time was all about them :-p usually we just play our own cds or dvds during opening/closing/floorsets

I love the song, it's my favorite band. I could be wrong though.

Hey, I was in the store today at Pearlridge in Hawaii and was waiting for my g/f to try on shiz, and I seen a video that I recognized but didn't catch the name of the band who sings it or the song title. Unfortunately, a call immediatly after we left made me forget the lyrics. It was right after Jimmy Eat World on the tv. They had kind of a retro-ish sound, like vibraty and all, and the video was like, the opposite of psychodelic. It was like, if I remember correctly, almost black and white. h37p!

I found it! It was actually Matchbox 20 "How Far We've Come". I have NO idea why I didn't recognize the band. But the song just started playing in my head this morning when I woke up! Lyrics and all! But thanks for the post.

I think it's a Daft Punk song, it sounds like a remix of Around the World and Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger.
