    Talking Solved: Marrakesh, oh Marrakesh

Hi...I don't know if this is the best place to post this, but I do not want to begin a thread for it: Please, I am trying to find a song, and I just know a few lines of it. It goes something like this: "Marrakesh, oh Marrakesh, I lost my wife, I lost my happiness" and for the life of me, I cannot remember the name of the song, or who sings it. If someone (old enough to remember) knows what I am talking about, please let me know, because I've been going crazy for about 5 months, trying to find it! Thank you much!

    Moved to correct section.

How old this song is supposed to be?

I have one with "Marrakesh" in it, but it says nothing there about losing the wife. It's from the 80's, Goombay Dance Band: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aLsKXK7lvM0

    Hi,
I know a song MARRAKESH by Loreena Mc Kennit.

Unfortunetelly it is not provided on youtube. I tried to listen to the words she is singing (I have recorded the song), but I cannot understand the words clearly accoustically. But meaybe it is the requested song.

Hi, all! Thank you for your answers so much! Unfortunately, it's none of these two. I am pretty sure it has those words in it, and I am pretty sure it's either sung by a band or by a man, either way there is a dominant male voice. How old....hmmm....at leat 20 years, probably!

Lollipop, thank you for posting my request in the correct spot. I am new to this, sorry!

    Hello darth vader!

I think, you have found the song for Caty.
As Caty visited us last time a month ago, then I emailed her today, that you have found her song, so hopefully she will sign in here soon, and see your answer.

    Thank you for your help!
