i no angelito means "little angel", or dear angel (add affection to the word angel) I can start translating the song for you, it might take a bit tho... heres the lyrics for anyone else who can translate this right away.

First he/she said to me that it is a sin...

dije = I said
Me dijo = He/she said to me

- Segundo que no puedo ni debo aunque quiero (Second that I can’t nor should even want) Dar la vida por ti (To give life for you)

Second that I can't nor should, although I want to, give life for you

- Tercero que mi destino en el amor (Third that my destiny is love)

Third that my destiny in love...

- Y cuarto (cuatro?) que un exclavo en el amor (And forth that a slave in love)

Cuarto es 'forth', cuatro es 'four'

- Esta noche quiero volver a sonar (Tonight I want to return to sleep)
A ver si aprendo algo mas (And see if I learned anything more)

Tonight I want to return to dreaming to see if I can learn anything more (He wants to dream because in his dreams the angel came to learn him things. This night he wants to dream again so that he can learn more)

I'm going to drag this one out of the closet, because I don't quite understand the message of the song, especially as it's been written on other sites slightly differently than here. I'm adding my own translation as I understand it (very close to what's already been said).

So what I got from this song is that the dreamer is sad about this girl who he loves but she doesn't give him the time of day, and it shakes his faith in love. So he dreams about an angel who he asks to help him win her heart, and the angel tells him it's bad juju to pursue her, that he's only going to get hurt. But what's the resolution -- "q me salga ese angelito..." -- that he wants the angel to return or he doesn't or what? And what about the part "Y aquel que ama, Pero no demuestra todo el cariño Se prepara para un desliz" -- is this the angel telling him that he's not proving his love enough? Kind of confusing!

I stumbled on this looking for the lyrics to this song. You guys have done a great job translating. Spanish is my first language but i have to admit i didn't exactly pay a lot of attention in my spanish classes. I didn't even know what some of those words were! but thanks to your excellent translations, i think i can fill in a few gaps.

Sometimes when spanish is translated directly to english it sounds a bit awkward so some lines are what i think the its english equivalent is.

Some of the phrases make more sense when you put them together. Like poems, it doesn't necessarily mean that the sentence ends at the end of the line.


I AM CONFUSED AS TO WHAT THE ANGEL IS SAYING, TOO. CAN HE NOT SPEAK MORE CLEARLY, GEEZ! I DON'T THINK HE IS SAYING NOT TO PURSUE HER BUT MAYBE THAT HE SHOULD SAY SOMETHING, NOT KEEP QUIET, BECAUSE SHE MIGHT GO WITH SOMEONE ELSE BUT THAT ITS WRONG TO LOVE HER WITH RECKLESS ABANDON, HE RUNS THE RISK OF GETTING HURT THAT WAY.


THE CHORUS JUST SEEMS TO BE AN OVERVIEW OF THE SITUATION. SOMEONE IS ALL IN LOVE WITH ANOTHER AND THE OTHER IS UNAWARE AND PROBABLY GOING AFTER SOMEONE ELSE AND DISAPPOINTMENT HAPPENS.
