    Merhaba:

As you know, it is a 2* hotel so it is definitely budget accommodation, but by the review, you should not be disappointed.

    Summary of review:

It is in the vicinity of the Blue Mosque & St. Sofia...perhaps a bit hidden as they had difficulty finding it so you might want to have directions readily available for taxi driver (assuming you won't get picked up), otherwise you might end up paying a lot for taxi. BE AWARE the taxis will rip you off....i was there summer of 07 and the routine cost for a 20 minute drive was 50 ytl (one way!), if you don't want to be surprised, I recommend you ask price before you get into any taxi, although prices may not be so high in September. Hotel offers airport transfer for 5 euros (this is a great rate).

Hotel building was rather disappointing (perhaps reviewer was referring to its architecture), rooms were very simple with no orderly style, clean, though linen not changed daily, comfortable beds, towels, t.v., Nescafe available in the room and breakfast included in hotel rate, which is served at terrace if sunny, or they can leave outside your room if raining (does not sound like hotel has restaurant).

English/Italian and a bit of Spanish is spoken and the staff was cordial & pleasant.

Sounds like an average 2* star hotel so most likely you should be ok.

Enjoy your trip, if you have not been there already, you will not be disappointed, Istanbul is truly magnificent!!!!!!! (I'm not biased as I'm NOT Turkish).

    Bon voyage.

thanks a lot for the translation istanbulgal and thanks a lot for all the tips. actually i've been to istanbul many times and i already sort of got over all the bumps with transport and stuff. my usual hotel dosnt have available room for the extra night i wanted to stay so i needed to find additional accomodation and this was really near by. it sounds ok.

btw, im not sure where you're from (i thought you were an istanbul gal ), but if you go there again, its really easy to go anywhere with metro and tram. metro station is directly under the ataturk airport and it costs 1.4 lira x 2 (you have to change to tram at some point) to get to sultanahmet from the airport. it costs even less if you have a transit pass, so basically you can get to sultanahmet for 2 lira witch is a bit more than 1 euro. and if you're going to taksim you need to change one more time to metro so that comes to about 3 lira (avg 1.5 euro to go from ataturk airport to taksim...)

a/w THANK YOU a lot for the translation and if you go to ist again and need any tips, let me know .
