thanx so much my friend is dominican and she tried translating and she couldn't understand it bcuz she doesn't know that much slang only a lil bit so im gald that you got me the translation...the El mellao video is so funny now i know wat he's saying so its even funnier

do you pronounce the g in spanish or is it silent? can sum1 type the alphabet and then show me how you pronounce each letter? por favor

it depends what vowel it's before. if it's before an e or i (i think) it sounds like a j, and anything else is like an english g.

Yep, it's very funny... I don't really like reggaeton at all, but this one song is the exception

I'm going to write "ga, ge, gi, go, gu" with the pronunciation next to it, the way I learned it when I was young (very young) is "ga - gah; ge - heh, gi - he; go - goh; gu - goo

gata (female cat, pronounced "gahtah")
gente (people, pronounced "henteh")
girar (to spin, pronounced "heerar")
gota (drop, pronounced "gohtah")
gustar (to like, pronounced "goostar")

must be written that way (with all the vowels)

ga, gue, gui, go, gu

for the sound -j as he, house, etc

Well, in English, we have diphthongs, so the vowels are often pronounced like two vowels... unlike in Spanish. So the "o" would e pronounced as in "ou". I put the "h" at the end to stop t the slide into the diphthong so that someone would'nt say "gou" for "go".... they would maybe say it like "oh" and not go to the "u".
People know what "oh" sounds like or "ah" because they are expressions that are used in conversation. Mystery solved? ¿Quizas?

Yeah, I understand now what you mean... I had the same doubt as Xiurell in the beginning... thanks for explaining.

Btw, we also have diphthongs in spanish, but we always write the two vowels.

Yes, there is:

-astes and -istes are gramatically incorrect, even though it's not unusual to hear them on daily speech.

thats what i thought. like there's a song called welcome to my crib and i was listening to it and there's a part that goes

"me tomo como tres horas en sacarte una sonrisa
de esa tristeza que traistes"

and i never got what traistes meant. but thank you for clearing that up!
