    Smile Hello everyone!

My name is Anna and I'm a 18-year-old student from a really small town near Munich in Germany. I have been a music lover for about as long as I can think. I am a long time Bon Jovi fan and recently (about 2 years ago) fell in love with the Finnish pop/rock band Sunrise Avenue. But I also listen to loads of other stuff, as long as it's good ;P

The reason I am here is for once that I really love lyrics, I don't think I could like a song without loving the lyrics, too. I also really like the English language (even though I'm still not as good as I'd like to be) and hope I will get the chance to translate a little bit here.
But I also need you help - Finnish is not exactly one of my streghts yet *lol* I try, however, to learn a little bit because I plan on doing my studies in wonderful Suomi. I basically learned my whole English from bon Jovi - let's see if it can work again!

Can't wait to look around here a bit and get to know y'all!

Herzliche grusse nach Deztschland, Anna! (I always wanted to write this sentence in german )
You have a point with learning foreign language by music, lyrics and this stuff. It helped me with english too. I hope I will do the same as you but with french language. Actually I will be more than happy if I will be able to learn french at least at 10% as you did with english.

    Hehe, thanks a lot!
I know, I think that's the easiest (and most fun ) way to really learn a language or rather develop the 'feeling' for it - do you know what I mean? You just KNOW if something is wrong or right.
Bonne chance with your French! I learned it at school but was never really into it, so I only know the mere basics.

I agree with you. I would say that it can be considered as easiest way becuase you actually want to learn it and you are doing it freely. You enjoy it, you like to know what is foreing song about and so on. It is not like in school where you are "forced" to learn it.
Yeah, I understand that "feeling" thing. I can see it in my english. If for example my teacher asks me why I said something as I said I cannot explain the grammar thing. I just feel it is right. (And mostly it also is right. )

Hehe, your french seems to be as my german. I never was very good at it but when we started to learn your past tense (both) I became absolutely lost. And I still am.

Yep, that's exactly my point. It's that way with my Finnish at the moment, too, 'cause I really only learn it when I want and how I want. I'm afaid it will be less fun when I actually have to do something but oh well... I'm really dying to learn that language so it will be okayish I guess.

Wow cool, I don't think I know anybody else who understands that! My friends at school always were like "no, the rules say it must be so-and-so!" And I didn't know a damned thing about those rules but I KNEW my solutions were right. (And most time they were )

I totally understand about German, I'm sure it's pretty hard to learn. But it's not that important, most people over here speak English nowadays too

I do understand, as others have also said. I can also say that music helped me to learn (and remember) Spanish a little faster, years ago ... and now also Russian. So I believe music can help a lot, and of course it's a lot more FUN!!
