*The literal translation is "all that was," but I think "all that used to be" sounds better in English.

I'd say that the Imperfect tense must be translated with the Past Continuous in English, but it's ok as you translated it, too.
Literal translation of "in doi" = in two / together.

Mersi Lady! I wanted to use that tense & say "I used to..." for everything, but I thought that maybe in the context of the song, one might be able to figure that out...maybe I give people too much credit

It's weird how such a happy sounding song is actually kind of sad! Equally weird is that the lyrics mean something to me, and it is the song that keeps playing in my head even before I knew what it meant!
