Kriza is the word they use as excuse for firing thousands of people.. I think I need to marry a rich sheikh or something haha

D&M,thank u really for that replyYep,at least Serbian is easy for me to understand, especially after the last few months when I got really into Serbian music and learned many words
I know Croatian is very, very close to Serbian. But I think in some cases it's closer to Slovenian.I haven't heard it too much but that's my impression^^
For a Bulgarian/Macedonian is much harder to study other slavic languages cuz only in the 2 of them don't exist cases. That's why a Bulgarian may understand a lot srb/cro but he/she can't say even a sentence correctlySometimes it's hard to study 3 very close languages cuz u began messing them up
I'm afraid with me there already exists such problem with srb/slo
But I have a great desire really^^ I have studied Russian too.It wasn't hard for me.I'm even gonna overview my old Russian books (I have much time now anyway) cuz in Slavic phiolology they study Russian too for sure.
And I'm really jealous of all ya,including Maja cuz she told me she's gonna visit the seaside soon enough...lucky uBut this year u, next year me...hope that

You're welcome!
Yes, it's true what you said, it's easy but on the other hand so hard to learn similar languages, that was happening to me with spanish n italian, it actually still happens, I'm on my italian lessons and I say spanish word from time to time, so my professor is always like ''oh you study also spanish with italian?'' n me ''noooot... '' well, damned soaps xD (and my mexican friends)
I heard that recently that there are no cases in macedonian n bulgarian, I was kinda shocked, i really thought they exist in all slavic langauges. And yes, cos of that it must be a bit harder for you. But well, nothing is impossibleAnd it's great you're listening to music cos that way I also learnt lot of russian words n my vocabulary is much wider than of most of my colleagues (ok ok, stop showing off xD)
''Glupost je sama u sebe zaljubljena i njeno je samoljublje bezgranično.''
''Siamo niente senza fantasie''
''Наверное мне место на луне, но страшно оставаться в темноте''
To D&M : yeah,I have many Serbian songs on my mp3 player now, even at the moment I'm practically listening only to Serbian musicI also have a Croatian song that MayGoLoco was so kind to send me
But unfortunately I'm not too into cro music yet
To Spring: in Bulgaria our prime-minister (that damn old comunist) told us some kinda ridiculousness like: "Be tranquile,we're not endangered at all". Then we realized that we,Serbia and Romania are most affected in the region.

And I am sure next year is your time for Croatian riviera![]()
Oh but no problem in bg/mcd forum it's so crazy with that chit-chats- it can't be distinguished where is the chit-chat where is the learning,we often teach blg at the chit-chat and chat at the learning thread...
I see u've changed the title..that's really good though as I saw yesterday in that chat have written ppl from so many countries
well if we talk bout "kriza" is there much migration from Serbia/Croatia?

I changed this one's title - only by adding Croatian to it(had to clarify that although you maybe realized it in the first place but I am so tired now I can't think straight lol)
Maybe some clean up is in order in BG forum? I will look if I can find my way around it![]()
As for migrating.. is there any good place in the world nowadays? I don't think so..
Hey I saw u've made the Macedonian chit-chat sticky, can u do the same with the Slovenian? Also we're about to create a learning-slovenian thread soon enough
About the argues in the mcd chat- don't worry ,I think they solved it.I hate such discussions with Macedonians too and I just don't participate in them...
Haha I think that at least 2/3 moderators should take up with cleaning up our forumwe've made such a mess there,in a purely Bulgarian way but it's really funny there,we're like a big family I think
Well some places are still better than others...Though it quite depends on how u arrange ur life,no matter the place u live at ... but in Bulgaria it's kinda hard to be a honest,hard-working and intelligent person and to arrange ur life well, oddly enough...

The topic gave me a huge headache.. really.. I really can not stand to see such meaningless disputes!
I made the Slovene chat sticky but I am not gonna read it! Simply because I don't want to ruin my delusion that such arguments can't happen in that part of the world lol
They stoppedU can make it sticky anyway
And the Slovene chit-chat is quite a friendly oneIt has no arguments^^

I hope I am not too late replying to thisI think of all the Western Balkan countries Croatia has the nicest coast (although it has no proper sandy beaches). I might be a little biased though, because I really like Croatia
. Montenegro has some nice spots as well (I like Sveti Stefan), and is much cheaper than Croatia. I have been to Bosnia and Herzegovina (Mostar and the southern parts close to Croatia), and it was nice enough for a day trip, but I would not want to spend a whole holiday there.
I think it is obvious that Croatia is more advanced than BiH and Montenegro (I might add some other Eastern European countries in the EU), you can't help noticing it as soon as you cross the border. Why Croatia did not join the EU sooner is a big story, but I hope it will soon because it will be a great addition to the Union.
I have tried to learn some Croatian/Serbian but I get confused and end up with a mix of both (in latinica). For example I will say 'lepa' instead of 'ljiepa' and 'zauvek' instead of 'zauvjiek' which can be a bit awkward depending who I am speaking to. I hope I will be able to learn it properly one day though...

I think your way is the right way Zvezda! We should all learn it (new SR-CR
)
And I have to emphasize - Montenegro got extremely expensive this year and they have no excuse for it! One of the saddest moments in my life was when I had to go there instead of to Croatia which is (in my world) synonym for more (sea)![]()
what does that mean? I used to live in Greece, so I fail to be impressed by it I take it for granted
Isn't that Serbian in latinica?Originally Posted by Spring

How has Montenegro got expensive? Do you mean hotels? food? Maybe something to do with them having euroised, or with your own currency not doing well? Perhaps Adrienne can shed some light here.![]()

It's an expression meaning "as expensive as Greece but we can get very cheap accommodation and bus for Greece from here so.. the expression doesn't apply any more
Would be... if there wasn't for the extra "ij"
For example, read this - click
It's not just about prices.. but a combination - why pay high price for low quality service? Especially now when Montenegro is a foreign country to us..
I only went there when I had no other solution (when we couldn't go to Croatia) and we needed visas for every other country.. Montenegro was closest.. But the roads are so dreadful that it can take18 freakin hours to get to the sea so I decided - Greece is closer! Now even hotels are mega expensive and all the other prices are much higher than in Serbia (some say even higher than in Greece - where food, drinks and stuff used to be the most expensive).
Tourism was always more developed in Croatia.. When it comes to other countries.. Bulgaria is still the cheapest choice, then Turkey and Egypt (food and stuff is ridiculously cheap in Egypt but transportation takes a huge part of holiday budget).. Greece is I think on the same level as Croatia when it comes to all prices though I might be wrong.
My personal problem - I went to Turkey (after trying Greece, Bulgaria, Montenegro..) and I said - never will I go anywhere else again! first of all because they know how to treat a tourist.. But well.. I went back to Greece after that and then to Egypt and each time said - food is good but not like in Turkey.. this and that is good but not like in Turkey..
Am I off topic? lol
Spring I'm curious where have u been in Bulgaria?

I was in Bulgaria. Bulgaria became popular bcs it's the cheapest, I think, primary food. Sozopol, Nesebar, Suncev Breg...
U call it "Suncev breg"? =) I'm surprised so many Serbians go to Bulgaria.Usually we have tourists mostly from the Czech Republic and Poland(but we've always had warm relations with them, maybe that is) and I've always thought all Serbians go to Croatia/Montenegrowow really in Bulgaria all stuff is the cheapest? I've heard only bout the vodka =)
