I know this sounds "not round" either, but I do not know a better expression.

I support Tahiras suggestion 100 %!
"dass es mich gibt" means "that I exist", I couldn't think of any other possible translation

Only one more thing: in the first verse (last line), I suggest a different translation:

so fing doch einmal alles mit uns an.
after all this is how everything once began with us.

"So" is this line means "like this / this is how"

You are perfectly right!!!
The grammar suggested in the lyrics is definetely wrrrroooong!
Your ear was good and she sings it the right way.
It has to be Akkusativ: bis zum letzten Akkord

I used the word "thus" as meaning "like this". I sometimes use words the wrong way. Again I have a knack for choosing the awkward word(s) when better ones are available. You & Tahira know my language better than I do.

No, I was thinking wrong. It is good then that I asked about letzten/letztem. You have set me straight. After your post I looked up "until "in the English side of my dual language dictionary and there it was "bis + akk." I have good resources but I don't always get the most I can from them. I am still grappling with all the parts of speech and what they are called and when and how to use them. Grammar was never my favorite subject in school. Little did I know that one day I would wish I had learned more and remembered more about it
