I'm looking for a translation of some of the Mani Matter songs I learned as a kid. Over the years I have forgotten some of the words as the Bern dialekt is a little different from Baselbieterdyytsch my grandparents spoke, und i bei nuur ymal do gsy.

some are easy, z.B. dr Alpenflug, others I have more trouble remembering what the words mean, z.B. Hemmige. I can't seem to find a decent translation tool online. Änglisch, französisch, or at least schryftdütsch would be very helpful!! Many thanks!

I remember the funny part about the difference between Man and chimpanzees, but some like bhüetis, hemmige, usw. So a lyrics translation would be most welcome. Thanks!

Well it's like feeling shy, blushing ... I could very well have translated the main line as "Because we blush"
