what is this song about? as in the meaning?

The last part, when he says that he is the last dinosaur on Earth is confusing me... I am not sure what he means because, the way I see the song:
- klupko (skein) represents their loose relationship which he ruined by having an affair (the skein is loose enough even without being made of nylon which makes it even more slippery)
- she knows it (although he is pretending that he has some business thing that he has to go to) and is telling him to leave
- maybe his freedom comment means that he wasn't supposed to be given freedom (to cheat on her)
