Btw in south Spain is common the use of usted/ustedes the way you do but using second person plural verb "ustedes amáis" "ustedes coméis"

But there is no one who conjugate second person singular like we do , we are unique hehehe

I'm not sure what exactly it means, but it seems something like the one who's asking is telling to the other person and wondering about a person or thing that haven't been used for first time yet.
