----
hearing children as love (?) and they sing
pull and brass rings
dreaming all sorts of things
and the stare in their mother's eyes
both fear and delight
shaking from fright
but she knows everything's alright
COME RIDE, COME RIDE, COME RIDE UP AND DOWN
GO MERRY GO MERRY GO ROUND
pictures bring back thoughts and things from the past
memories they last
even though time will pass
memories are real and there is nothing more
whenever you're bored
and there's nothing to live for
COME RIDE, COME RIDE, COME RIDE UP AND DOWN
GO MERRY GO MERRY GO ROUND
[then comes the third verse of which I do not understand more than single words]
[now follows some short instrumental 60s style intermezzo]
[then follows the last verse which again is hard for me to crack]
------
anyone got some ideas? thanks a lot!
