Ohhh, sorry then, I can't remember how to set cyrillic on an XP :S but it's probably the same method .. :]

1. Right click on the language icon
2. Settings
3. Under Installed services click on Add
4. Look for Bulgarian
5. Bulgarian Keyboard - click on Phonetic.

That's for Vista.... Maybe it will work for XP :]

THE BULGARIAN DEFINITVE ARTICLE

*it's equivalent of the English "the" or the German "die,der,das"

Cases in which it's NECESSARY to put the article:

1.Possessive pronouns:
When saying "my car";"my bed";"my computer", u MUST put the article to the pronoun, so u can never say "Моя кола е черна" for eg., it MUST be "МояТА кола е черна", the same with твоята,неговата,нейната,нашата,вашата,тяхната ...
Examples:
Това е моето легло. This is my bed.
Моята стая е на първия етаж. my room is on the 1st floor
Къде е твоята стая? Where is ur room?
Неговата сестра е много хубава. His sister is very beautiful
Тяхната къща е чисто нова.Their house is brand new.

The article is used with all kinds of forms of possessiveness:
U can also say instead of "mojata kola" - "kolaTA mi"
Например:
Видях колата ти. I saw ur car.
Играх на компютъра им. I played on their PC.
!!! счупих СИ ръкаТА.. (i heard a Serbian girl once saying " счупих ръка" лол) - I broke my arm
ударих СИ носА - i hit my nose
нараних СИ главаТА - i hurt my head

U only have exceptions here:
talking about relatives:
майка ми; баща ми; сестра ми; брат ми... майка ти,майка му, майка й,майка ви,майка им..
We don't say " майката ми" / майката ви
Майка ми е на 40 години./Моята майка е на 40 години. - that are the 2 right variants. "Майка ми" is more unofficial and used.

yea I get that rules ... anyways I remember there was two sentences, one was majka na Ivan ... and the second was majkata na Ivan.... I don't remember it now but it was something like:
tova e majka na Ivan
majkata na Ivan li e tuk ?
or something like that, I don't remember, I would have to go back to Warsaw to see my notes

Nope.. "majka na Ivan" never... Majkata na Ivan; Ivanovata majka or Majka mu

yes there was something like that ... maybe it was majkata mu xD ... I don't remember exactly, I just know it was some exception like you normally have "majkata na Ivan" or majka mu" but it was some exception that was mixed up of this two forms, when I get back I'll show you that example
