    Hey,

I have no clue of Arabic Language, what does the number indicate. How should you pronounce them
    2al fakrenek bet7beny w bena 7ekaya, maho shayfenek ray7a ma3aya w gaya m3aya

How to pronounce this thing - 2al fakrenek. What does 2 indicate. I am trying hard to memorise the song - Amaneh - Diana Haddad. But when i see the lyrics it has a lots of number in between the words. How to pronounce this word.

    Thanks for your time.

Hey! The numbers are used for letters not in the english alphabet

For instance, 2 is ء, it has an aa sound, very strong a (in some accents, the 2 is pronounced instead of q, i.e alb instead of qalb so you might find a 2 too) So in the example you have given, 2al fakrenek is pronounced aal fakreenek (try to listen while reading, it helps )

3 is used for the letter ع which is an a sound but from the through, like the name Ali, if you've heard any arabs pronounce it? So in hte example you gave, ma3aya is pronounced ma'aya, but with emphasis from the throat. Once again, listening to the sounds will help you understand what Im trying to say

The next letter 5 is probably the easiest, its the letter خ pronounced kh, as in 5alid = khalid

6 is used for a strong version of the t sound, ط , its t but more not as softly spoken

7 represents the letter ح, which is pronounced ha, so for instance, 7abibi = habibi

Letter 8 and 9 are not used that often, but 8 is ق, a q sound, like qalb and 9 is a ص sound, pronounced sa

Hope this helps! Try listening to the song while reading the lyrics and see if you can spot the sounds being made

Viva .... u know some arabic letters are so hard for non arabs to pronounce. I had alottttttttttttttt of trouble. if it wasnt for arabic being language of the qur`an and it being a necessity to learn it... i would have not only given up but killed myself in the process!!!

Oh no! Dont say that! You're probably a pro by now It just takes practice, I find some arabic letters hard to pronounce too like 5, q and k because they're so strong and not in my everyday accent, but practice makes perfect!

So being a non arab rose, does my translation make any sense? Feel free to add anything you think would help Kau understand!

    How to say (in Fus7a):

Don't believe, then you are lying to yourself.
لا تصدق. فانك تكذب على نفسك

Don't laugh at me if it is not correct, Because I am not sure of it.. And I am improving my Fus7a sooo please correct it

    شكرا

    Carmen - imni7 means good

-Im a farmer. (Palestinians are divided into two main groups, falahi and madani, falahi being 'farmers' traditionally, and have a stronger accent, while madani's live in the city and have a more soft spoken accent) Im online

-I know. In sabra (a palestinian refugee camp in Lebanon). Hello? Dear I want to sleep okay? Yeah man I cant sit at home, we dont have internet at home, and its so hot im dying

    -I'll talk to you later

    -Ok

-Okay my love, when do you want to go to the hermil (?). Go relax

    - No 28 june, yasmine came today

-We'll get a good house --, its because you were stubborn and refused to sit in the foyer you idiot. It was air conditioned and you would have stayed comfortable

I'm really sorry these are so long. I really appreciate all of the help I am making a little dictionary as I go.

if she was positive it's a bad word I was thinking could it be he was saying "3ars"?

If that's the case dear then you're right it is a bad word but can be used in a joking way among friends I guess "bastard" or "mother f-er" would be close in English
