Every time I hear this song it's in a restaurant or gas station and the people are too loud for me to hear the lyrics correctly, and I've looked through dozens of songs but still no luck. I'm pretty sure it's from either the 70s or 80s and the chorus *sounds* like it starts off something like "You're in the rain..." and then it sounds like it says something like "without the for you and I...without the of the night" The song is pretty upbeat and the voice in the chorus sounds similar to Howard Jones's voice in the song everlasting love (don't quote me on this, I'm not very good with voices). I went through many of his other songs though and still couldn't find it. The next artist I think the song sounds like is Jackson Browne (big maybe though, I'm not sure) but I haven't found any of their songs that sound similar to this song at all.
I hummed the song for my mom and she immediately knew what song I was talking about but she doesn't remember any of the lyrics or who it's by and can't help me out.
Any help here? It's been over a year that I've been trying to find this, and everytime I hear it it's always in a loud places so I can't hear the lyrics correctly. If anyone helps me find the song, I will love you forever.
