I can try to answer to test myself!

It is difficult because there are different contexts which don't translate evenly with english.

"La" is similar to at.
.....sunt la magazin. sunt la bucuresti *(but it is "sunt în România")


pe is silmilar to "on".
.....pe masa. on the table.

"pe" also has useage to identify the direct object. Here it doesn't have a translation in english.
....îl vad pe Ion. I see John

"din" is similar to "from".
.... ea este din franţa ... she is from france

"de" is similar to "of".
... am nevoie de somn .... I have need of sleep... (i need sleep)
... in loc de instead of

"de" is also used with counting something greater than 20.
... am 15 ani
... am 25 de ani.
... am stat pentru 21 de zile.

"de" is also used before the past participle to create the supine case. (de isn't the only prep that does this)
...de lucrat ... working

noun + supine
... maşina de spălat ... washing machine.
... maşina de scris .... typewriter

here's a short list of preps from a doc I have.

Basic Prepositions:
a of, cu with, de of, pe on, la at, în in, lângă next to, pentru for, sub under, peste over, fără without, prin through

compound prepositions, formed of two or three basic prepositions
de la from, at, de pe on, de pe la from, de lângă next to, pe lângă by, pe după behind

prepositional phrases, formed of preposition plus noun
în faţa in front of, în spatele behind, în privinţa regarding, pe dedesubtul under

Can you say "nu vorbesc mult de română dar voi încerca doar pentru voi!" also?

Stevo, use "voi" in place of "tine" for a formal or plural "you", such as the "vous" in French

Thanks. I want to make it informal and more personal though, so I plan to use "tine".

voi isn't formal "you" is just plural... formal would be dumneavoastră.

Oops, mulțumesc I wasn't sure about the case of dumneavoastră, so I thought you were supposed to use "voi"

cu placere. well u knew smth.. dumneavostra is used for both singular and plural in formal case

I would say : Nu vorbesc bine româneşte dar voi încerca pentru tine.

just=doar-------- ex:"Just if...."=Doar daca...
even=chiar-------ex:"Even if..."=Chiar daca...
so:.....

Did you really wanted me to stay longer or did you just said that to be nice/polite? = intr-adevar ai vrut ca eu sa mai stau sau doar ai zis ca sa fii dragut/politicos?

It looks right to me

I'm not sure of a good translation for intr-adevar. "Into truth" doesn't work well in english, maybe "Be honest..."?
