The a at the end refers to the next word, 3iuny, my eyes, so my eyes lie awake
The word fi = in, layaleek = your nights, my eyes lie awake in your nights

Nefsi = I wish/I long
Lela = a night
2anam = I sleep
I.e I wish I could sleep a night
