Dear Desirable,
Would you still like the translation or has someone posted it to you yet in a PM? (you've closed the thread)
IMO, the lyrics have nothing to do with religion and, frankly speaking, I'm really astonished the Russian guys didn't translate it for you as the lyrics are quite simple and certainly don't demand some high levels of English. Instead they started to discuss whether it's religious or not So Slav!
It'd would be a guilty pleasure for me to do this song for you (I'm Polish )
Gimme a sign, anyway.
Hey, thank you for the answer.
I'd love to have a translation, thank you. I had to trust them when they were saying it's a religious song, I don't understand any russian. But I was a bit suprised because someone told me a bit about the lyrics. Closed the other thread, cause I thought wouldn't need any translation if it had different lyrics than I thought.
I'd be very thankful.
Here you are (I see nothing very religious here, except for the fact that love can be a religion in its own right ):
Скажи мне зачем весна
Tell me, why has spring
Taken the peace of my soul?
Tell me "See you" now
But tomorrow come back home
It's such a bitter thing to say good-bye
And a sweet thing to say I love (you)
Tell me, why has this sorrow
Taken away your love?
I won't (be able to) hold the drops (tears)
That flow like a river
My lips are silent
But my heart is shouting "I love (you)"

Thank you a lot! Neither can I see any religious saying in this. The song has beautiful lyrics, the first time I heard it I didn't know it fitted the situation perfectly, but now I do.
Thanks again
