Oye Momper, volviendo a los versos de Davey, he estado pensando que si deseas preservar el gerundio podrían incluso traducirse como "Davey pecador, te la pasas haciendo trampa y mintiendo; ... peleando y robando". Bueno, al menos es una idea
En cuanto a tu última pregunta la verdad no se me ocurre nada por el momento

En cuanto a la última consulta, me pregunto sobre todo si esos "don´t know..." no serán "I don´t know...". He visto que a veces se omite el obligado sujeto. -
Pues es lo mismo que hacemos nosotros en Español... cuando decimos "no voy a ir = Yo no voy a ir" .... entonces yo creo qu estas en lo correcto, omitieron el "I" Originally Posted by momper

Pero en inglés es obligatorio poner el sujeto, a diferencia de en español, por lo que yo me pregunto si es frecuente que lo omitan los angloparlantes.

pues yo pienso igual que momper, quizás no sea obligatorio pero si es usado mas a menudo que en el español por lo menos
