Default ANNA BISSH translation ti tabli

    please translate the lyrics!!!

With gods and demons fought back
Oh that I will be your eternal into tyranny
Again from the madness off the rolls pesan
I open your door but you want the Fevga
And the fate of games like regular
Upon doing the same mistakes and pish from the beginning
But if you want to die feel to be winner
If you fall seven times, get up eight

Do not trouble with much of the philosophy
Listen to a tip from a principal
Backgammon requires patience and life sin

    Is life without endless game
Where to rival stalls you see yourself
    Remember when supposedly playing Plakoto
If you catch the mother lost the double

Do not trouble with much of the philosophy
Listen to a tip from a Madam
Backgammon requires patience and life sin (x3)

With many thanks for stepphania1229 for asking, and laly_cris for replying, but this translation sounds googletranslate-like. Even if it is not like that; is there someone who might translate it into a more cohesion-like whole?

    Euxaristw para polu in advance!!!

you fought with gods and demons again
ahh your ego will torture you for ever
again the dice fell down from the craziness
i open doors for you, but you choose runing*
and the games of fate require tactic
since you are making the same mistakes, ftou**, and (here we go) from the beginning
but when you want to be a winner with dice
if you fall for 7 times, get up for 8***

don't torture yourself too much with the philosophy
listen to some advices from a lady
backgammon requires forbearance and life sin

    life is an endless game
where you see yourself as a rival
remember when you supposedly play plakoto****
if your mother checker is caught you have a double loss*****

    * this verse is more like a metaphore.. portes and to fevga are 2 versions of backgammon (http://boardgames.lovetoknow.com/Gre...kgammon_Tables here is a link in case you wonder what's all about )
** the "ftou" thing is actually spitting, but i can't include it in translation so i leave it like this
*** that's another rule of greek backgammon... to win 7 times
**** the 3rd version is called plakoto (you should've open the link by now so you already know that lol)
***** mother checker.. acroding to a site (bcs for me is hard to explain it ) is the last checker on a player's starting point. It is very important in the game of Plakoto. If the mother checker gets pinned by opponent's checker before it has left the starting point the game is over and two points are lost.

Euxaristw polu, kmmy, for giving me this brill b-day present!

    *=sounds plossible!
**=you mean something like 'phew'? Well, I understand all to well the spitting sound, so I reckon I know what you mean.
    ***=again, sounds plossible!
****=I did, and eventhough I still don't really know what tis backgammon game is all about, the song already makes so much more sense to me!!
*****=if I may be allowed: one could see this song in the way it is (Backgammon), but it might also be translated with checkers or chess; I guess the deeper meaning of the song stays the same; some steps that have been made end in certain results (to say it in just one simple sentense).

(Btw, I'd also like to thank, again, stephania1229 for asking for the translations, and laly_cris for doing a brill job the first time around!!!!)

Ofc, the song has a deeper meaning... But in order to express it the backgammon game and its rules are used

I didn't know Backgammon was played a lot in Greece. :s I always saw it as some game that was played by either people from Asian or (Spanish) American descent (as I saw the game being played in both Hong Kong and NYC). :s

In Romania is also a popular game (and we call it Table :P). As a child, my friends and I used to have a competition of backgammon, but now I have to admit I didn't play it for so long

So funny to hear that! I really reckoned it to be a game of the aforementioned people. SOOOO WRONG!!! ……
Ok, just wikipedia-it: it seems to be a game that is some 5,000 years old, and has spread the world via nowadays Iran (then Persia), ancient Iraq and ancient Egypt, ancient Rome, some parts of France and the (nowadays) UK, and back towards Eastern Asia again.

WHYYYYYY didn't it stuck in Western Europe?? Many people in France and the UK only have heard about the game (never played it, though), and the BeNeLux (Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg) and some other Germanic countries people don't even know what that game means! I feel my ancestors have neglected me! :P
