"The Searchers" were an English beat group, who emerged as part of the 1960's Merseybeat scene.

I thought when she said searchers, it meant we all song searchers/finders.

That helps a great deal. You're welcome and thank you. Plenty of times people are dead certain that the words they used are the exact ones on the song, yet when the song is found it isn't the case. Definitely glad to hear the certainty as that would help the search.
