I had a teacher back in High School who said I should have a plan
When you graduate in June be a college man
You need an education to make it in this world
Get your degree then settle down with a nice girl

Pre-Chorus:
That may work for some folks but I’ll never know
‘Cause I had my truck all loaded-up and was ready to hit the road

Chorus:
I wanna hear the sound of Bluegrass on an Appalachian night
Ride a wild Mustang underneath the Texas sky
Hike across the Badlands ‘n try to find out who I am
I know that may sound crazy but that’s my plan

Verse:
I took a job in Shawnee to pay for food and gas
After workin’ there just two weeks my boss laid out his plan
Show up early leave here late with a smile on your face
I know you’re a smart kid and someday you’ll own this place

Maps and directions get you where you wanna go
Or pick a star up in the sky and follow one of those

I’m gonna look straight up while I touch the trunk of a giant red wood tree

This is pretty good man. You have a good story and some great lines. You might want to shorten some lines to make it flow a little better though. Like say the same thing but with a shorter sentence. You have some good descriptions here too. Good work.....By the way I have no Idea what the guy above me said.

As for the lyrics, could be quite nice with the right music. Looking forward to hearing it.

I love the idea of the song and how it plays out. Also agree with shortening some of the sentences but then it depends on the music too. I wish I could do the music side of writing........good luck with it, I look forward to hearing it too.

Hi, yes it was spam and I've deleted it now.
