    I hope I didn't confuse you more
    You didnt ya gameel

I meant eno the verb (?) doler = to feel pain? You said duele is a noun, does duele mean pain? So is it the noun version of doler? I was just trying to see how to jump from the verb -ar/-er/ir form to the noun So is that why it doesnt change was my question

    Am I even making sense?

(There are some pics in the middle of the text, we're learing about states, tired hungry etc) The text isnt clear though, its in a weird font so sorry for any typo's / wrong punctuation

Ultimamente trabajo mucho. Hoy es viernes y estoy cansado de verdad, ademas no me encuentro muy bien, tengo dolor de muelas y me duele la cabeza, creo que tengo fiebre, por lo menos 37 y medio. Tengo mucho frio y mareos. Creo que me voy a meter a la cama ahora mismo. Seguro que estás enfermo porque ademas te duele la garganta?!que horror!

    1. Exahusted person
    2. Looks like a toothache, someone holding his jaw
    3. Holding head...headache?
    4. Fever I think
    5. Dizzy I think
    6. Someone going to sleep
    7. Someone feeling the others head
    8. Holding throat...throatache?

And if its not too much bother could you translate it all out for me please? Gracias!
I'm not sure at all about number 7... is this a dialogue? As I understand it, a second person is giving his opinion here, but I'm not sure of this.

Number 6 didn't fit because you had "meter"; so, "quiero dormir" (I want to sleep) is right, but it didn't fit in this case... "meterse a la cama"= to go to bed.

"I work a lot lately. Today is friday and I'm really tired, besides, I'm not feeling very well, I've got a toothache and my head is hurting me, I think I've got a fever, at least 37.5°C. I'm very cold and dizzy. I think I'm going to bed right now. For sure you're ill, because on top of that your throat is aching, how awful!"

Doler=to hurt, and the noun is "dolor" (pain/ache).

Now, if we translate literally, "me duele la cabeza"="my head hurts"; and "I have a headache"="tengo dolor de cabeza"

And the verb "doler" doesn't change because you have to imagine the part of your body which isn't feeling good is actively hurting you... so my head / stomach/ throat is actively hurting me and I'm feeling the pain; it "duele", it hurts... it hurts me, me duele.
Note however that when you say your back teeth (muelas) are aching, then the verb changes because muelas is plural, thus muelas=they, they ache, they hurt... me duelen

    Better now?

.... Viva, btw, "me duele" can also be figurative, like in English:

-It hurts me to see you suffer
    *Me duele verte sufrir

Oh I think I get it, so duele is the third singular (or third plural) because he/she/it (the pain) is the one that is doing the hurting, it personifies them, THANK YOU!!

In Mexico, trainers=tenis, but I think in Spain they call them "zapatillas" (which btw, in Mexico means "pumps/ high heels" hhhhhhhh )

Anyway, don't forget they want the singular! so, "zapato" (6 letters )

    PS. I ♥ crosswords
