What would be the difference between
إستوديو رقص
أستوديو الرقص
and الاستديو الرقص ?
I know ال is roughly the equivalent of "the" in English, but there's more to it than that and I'm always confused about when you use the article and when you don't. Also, does استوديو start with fatHa or kasra? Does it depend on the dialect?

إستوديو رقص
is more close to
studio for dancing
إستوديو الرقص
is :
the studio of dancing
or the studio of dance
about kasra and fat7a ...
أستوديو
you dont put any above
if its the starting of a sentence but when it comes between a sentence it depends if it will be fat7a or kasra

So would you ever say الاستديو الرقص ? The dance studio is a room in her home (as opposed to "the kitchen" or "the bathroom"), so would it be الاستديو or just استديو (and if so, does it start with kasra)? Sorry, I'm still confused that elraisa used kasra and Loca-por-Ba!le used fatHa. Thanks for your patient answers!

let me suggest you to drop the word studio in the translated sentece, and replace it with salah... so it'd be
صالة الرقص
i guess this is much better that إستديولا يَشْكُرُ الله مَنْ لا يَشْكُرُ النَّاس
The One Who Doesn't Thank Others, Doesn't Thank God -
Thank you Oriee.... jaza kallaho khairan

My dictionary says صالة means "room, hall," so it's literally translating as "room for (the) dance," right? (Sorry, I've only had one term of Arabic, and don't know much beyond the alphabet.) It sounds like everybody is in agreement that it still won't need to start with "ال" though.
Thanks! -
