Hi,
I need some translations (in Cyrillic) done please :
01. I think you have no space left in your car boot.
02. I think your harddisk drive is nearly full.
03. You haven't smoked for nearly one and a half month - You must be feeling good and healthy.
04. We need to watch him just in case he takes our stuff.
05. You're back from work.
06. You've finished work ?
07. This Rakia is so strong; it feels like my throat is on fire. But it tastes nice though and I like it.
08. Am I ... ? (e.g. Am I talking Bulgarian correctly?)
09. Are you ...? (e.g. Are you cold ?)
10. Is he ... ? (e.g. Is he gone already ?)
11. Is she ... ? (e.g. Is she here ?)
12. Is it ... ? (e.g. Is it cooked yet?)
13. Are we ... ? (e.g. Are we having a party when he leaves?)
14. Are they ... ? (e.g. Are they playing music loud?)
Thanks.![]()
First of all, you cannot say only "Am I" in Bulgarian ... there is no equivalent, so you should say the whole verb, ex. Am I going? -> Отивам ли? This being said, here is the translation of your sentences:
1. Мисля, че нямаш остнало място с багажника на колата.
2. Мисля, че харддиска ти е почти пълен.
3. Не си пушил от почти един месец. Сигурно се чувстваш добре/здрав. (It sounds unnatural in Bulgarian to say: "чувстваш се добре и здрав (good & healthy)" so I suggest you use only one)
4. Трябва да го наблюдаваме, в случай че ни вземе нещата.
5. Върнал си се от работа.
6. Свършил си работа?
7. Тази ракия е толкова силна, имам чувството, че гърлото ми гори. Но пък е вкусна и ми харесва.
8. Говоря ли български правилно?
9. Студено ли ти е?
10. Тя замина ли/замина ли си вече?
11. Тя тук ли е?
12. Сготвено/Готово ли е вече?
13. Ще имаме ли купон, когато [той си] замине? (You don't really need to specify (ex. "he") when you already know whom are you talking about)
14. Силно ли са пуснали музиката?
P.S Punctuation is really, really important in Bulgarian :] If you want to learn the language properly, you should especially read the rules for using commas :}

That's brilliant. Your explanations are very useful.
Много благодаря, lopatka.
I'm from London.
How come you are in Canada and you are proficient in the Bulgarian language ?
Just a question about your translation no.10 in the earlier post :
ENG: Is he gone already ?
BG: Тя замина ли/замина ли си вече?
Why do you use 'Тя' instead of 'той' to translate the English word 'He' ?

Yes i understand. I will do the explinatins later tonight!!!
I'd like to know about the grammatical rules regarding the order of words in a sentence.
Interrogative form:
1. When will he leave ?
2. When is he leaving ?
3. Has he left already (yet) ?
Affirmative form:
4. He leaves (will leave) on Saturday.
5. He leaves (will leave) this Saturday.
6. He leaves (will leave) in 3 days' time.
Negative form:
7. He hasn't left yet.
Interrogative Negative form:
8. Why has he not left yet?
9. Is he not supposed to leave last Saturday?
10. Why did he not leave last Saturday (5 days ago)?
It would be great if you could show me the different possibilities in which you can interchange the ordering of the words in the translatations (in Cyrillic please)?
Thanks.

More words???
No, PROPEL, First do what I asked you and then we will decide should we give you more words or move on with the lessons![]()
Interrogative:
1. When will he leave? --> Той коща ще си замине?; Кога ще си замине той?
2. When is he leaving? --> Той кога заминава?; Кога заминава той?
3. Has he left already (yet) --? (Той) Замина ли вече? (It's better to leave the "toi" out if you already know whom it is talked about. However, it's not necessarily wrong if you use it)
Affirmative:
4. He leaves (will leave) on Saturday. -> (Той) заминава (ще замине) в Събота.
5. He leaves (will leave) this Saturday. - (Той) заминава (ще замине) тази Събота
6. He leaves (will leave) in 3 days' time. - (Той) заминава (ще замине) след 3 дена.
*I can't think of other ways to put it... everything else that comes to my mind sounds rather odd ..
Negative:
7. He hasn't left yet. - (Той) Все още не е заминал.; (Той) Още не е заминал.; (Той) не е заминал още; (Той) не е заминал все още.
Interrogative negative:
8. Why has he not left yet? - Защо (той) все още/още не е заминал? (Той) защо не е заминал все още/още?; (Той) защо още/все още не е заминал?
9. Is he not supposed to leave last Saturday? Не трябваше ли (той) да замине миналата Събота?; (Той) не трябваше ли да замине миналата Събота?
10. Why did he not leave last Saturday (5 days ago)? - Защо (той) не е заминал/не замина миналата Събота (преди 5 дена)?
*What so you mean in #9? :] 1."Was he not supposed to leave last Saturday" or 2."Is he not supposed to leave next Saturday"? The translation I gave is for the first case
As for the exact rules, I would reccomend this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bulgari...mar#Word_order
If you have more questions, feel free to ask ;] I hope you understand my explanations :]
