Hi all, how to say in Lebanese:
sore throat ( I have a sore throat)
they asked about the letter from the barbershop and about the bank statement.
they don't leave us alone they are asking to much. but she said it is a good sign they are working on it.
children here, are very spoiled it is the fault of the parents.
i am very strict with such things
thanks alot
Thanks Layla!
I have another question...i often notice in arabic lyrics that the prefixes on verbs (eg 'ya' for he, 'ta' for you) are not said. Is it because people can understand what's being said without those prefixes or is it some poetic way of speaking?
Im learning MSA and i dont want to pick up bad habits by using slang or something.

Hello all, I have a quick question:
What is the difference between Omry and Hayati? Do they both mean 'my life' and is one more formal or something?
And what is the difference between:
"Kol youm fi omry" and "kol youm men omry"?
thanks!
Omri and 7ayati are basically the same thing.. omry can also mean "my years" because it comes from the base word omr but when used say "ya 3omri" or "ya hayate" theyre both the same neither one is more formal than the other
Kol yom fi omri - everyday of my life
kol yom men omry - everyday from my life
