Yeah thanks, I found it. It's from their Alive 2007 tour and on their album released Nov 20, 2007.

Hi Guys, I was in the AE store in Cerritos, CA today and heard a fast paced song with a strong beat and perhaps a jamaican/reggae dance feel to it. The lead singer was a woman and I think she was wearing a red dress.

Any Ideas would be great. I looked through most/all the songs posted on here and didnt find it, but there were many so I might have missed it.

    Thanks!!!

I was in AE today and heard a song and it had a lyrics like "I can't remember your love" or something about love not being able to remember... does anyone know? Not the video..., it was just the CD playing overhead. I often can find songs by typing in a lyric, but with such a common lyric I can't find it. It was a male voice, sounded like maybe snow patrol/format/ben lee style, but it wasn't any of them I don't think. But that style... somewhat catchy, not too fast of a beat, not rap or r&b, but basic alt rock sound...

    Default current playlist

Is there any chance that one of you (I know there are many on here) who currently works at AE can simply post a list of the music now being played in the store? I used to work at a retail store and they had a listing on the case. Maybe a manager would let you bring it home so you can type it up and answer all of these questions. I would truly appreciate the help! (And I think there are quite - other than myself - who feel the same way.)

P.S. I tried looking online and the company that says they'll post the current music last updated their information last spring. Slackers!

Unfortunately, a call immediatly after we left made me forget the lyrics. It was right after Jimmy Eat World on the tv. They had kind of a retro-ish sound, like vibraty and all, and the video was like, the opposite of psychodelic. It was like, if I remember correctly, almost black and white. h37p!
i think the one after jimmy eat world is "none shall pass" by aesop rock from the holiday cd. if i remember correctly...

There's a song that sounds like it could be a Pinback song, but I can't really tell. I don't remember any of the lyrics.

    Here's what I remember:
Amy Winehouse - Back to Black
Matisyahu - King Without a Crown (live)
Band of Horses - Is There a Ghost
Soulja Boy (which every little kid in the store starts dancing to as soon as it comes on... totally hilarious)
    Foo Fighters - Monkey Wrench
    Fergie - Clumsy
The Bird and the Bee - Again & Again
    Sara Bareilles - Love Song

And then some stuff I think by Will Smith and some band that sounds like the Beastie Boys.

I'm not sure how I feel about this set. Some of it's fun, but there's not too much to jam out to...

IM GONNA TRY TO ADD TO THIS LIST FROM WHAT I REMEMBER.

The hives- tick tick boom (from old cd)
aesop rock- none shall pass(from old cd)
    muse- hysteria
    dashboard confessional- hands down
the last goodbye- pictures of you
natasha bedingfield ft. sean kingston- love like this

i swear.. they ripped alot of this cd from my ipod. lol.

Hmm. Thanks for the suggestion! I checked the song on youtube but I'm afraid its not the one. The song I am thinking of seemed to have a woman as the lead singer as I dont recall seeing a man during the video. There were scenes of her in a red dress dancing sometimes while in a car.

    Thanks!!!

    Default looking for song!!

I joined this site just to ask questions about the AE music...

I was in an AE store a few days after Christmas, and while I was waiting to pay at the cash this video came on the screen. I was trying to listen to the lyrics, but there was too much noise in the store, and I missed the title when it flashed up on the bottom of the screen. The song had a kinda pop-rock sound , and it was on shortly after the Donnas "Don't Wait Up for Me."

I also remember that the band was made up of four or five guys, that the lead singer was Asian, and that the band was playing in a desert-like area.

I know this isn't much to go on, but if anyone could give me a hand I'd really appreciate it.

This is really vague but there is this song I heard in AE yesterday that I would like the song title too. I think it played after the "again and again" song, but the video has someone in a big meadow. The music is really like something from a dream sequence, maybe piano? just light stuff.. i believe it was a guy singing. If anyone could maybe point me in the right direction to a song title, that would be great. unfortunately i can't remember the song lyrics.. thanks!

Again I know what you're talking about but I have no idea the name of the song. I will look tomorrow during work if I remember.

Just to add to your list:

Modest Mouse - Missed The Boat (plays immediately before Soulja Boy)
Pras Michel - Pop Life (a few songs before Modest Mouse)
Daft Punk - Harder Better Faster Stronger (Radio Edit) [Live]
Matchbox 20 - How Far We've Come (a few after Soulja Boy near the end of the cd)
Jimmy Eat World - Big Casino (on the last cd too)
We're From Barcelona - I'm From Barcelona (before Soulja Boy and around Pop Life on the cd)
