I heard this song three years ago on an episode of the television show "Criminal Minds" (specifically at the end of season three's "In Birth and In Death"), and still can't find anyone out here in the "wish it was great" state of Utah, or on the 'net, who can tell me the name of the song, and who sings it. If anyone can hunt this beast down, I'd appreciate it!
"The broken clock is a comfort
It helps me sleep tonight
Maybe it can't stop tomorrow*
From stealing all my time
I am here still waiting
Though I still have my doubts
I am damaged at best
Like you've already figured out
Chorus: I'm falling apart
I'm barely breathing
With a broken heart
That is still beating
In the pain
There is healing
In your name
There is healing
But I'm holding on
I'm holding on
I'm holding on
I'm holding on
I'm barely holding on to you
The broken locks were a warning
You got inside my head
I try my best to be guarded
I'm an open book instead" then the song is talked over by the characters for a while, then there is a repeat of the chorus, then a partial line in what may be a third verse is "Broken lights on the freeway", but after that, I have nothing until the final chorus.
As my e-mail is pitching a fit, refusing to be opened by man, customer serviceman, or even my "Technomage" godson, Milo, and there are times when this little lap-perching attitude problem with a keyboard and screen sometimes won't let anyone on line, you can if you'd like e-mail my husband's account (he's allowed to access his e-mail account during work breaks) at Manx300@msn.com if you can't get it to bIrqul@hotmail.com without it rejecting (the odds are 50-50 with this particularly irksome glitch).
Thank you for the efforts,
bIr
