Unfinished

That one star shines
All alone against the sky
And amplifies
These tears that fall from my eyes.
While I cry,
While I try so hard to choke out a goodbye.
Cause a feeling as lonely as this
Simply shouldn’t exist.
But you were my one, the only one.
Who ever really knew me,
Ever even cared about me.
But now you’re gone and I’m still here,
You left me alone with all that I fear.
Standing alone in the night,
Watching this sad star shine bright.

The night settles on my face,
As memories play that I cannot erase.
Maybe I’ll get up tomorrow,
But for now this darkness swallows my sorrow.

I think this is extremely good. It reads really well and I can certainly feel what you're writing about. I hope you'll write more, because it's obvious you know what you're doing.
