Outside

Strike the match and bring life to this cave.
I like it just as much as you do.
We'll be fine on the outside.

Daylight tickles the senses in a way most fowl.
Fresh air and fresh mindsets to go around.
We're doing fine on the outside.

But our friends have lost their little lives,
and our family was just as lucky.
Refugees in our own equilibrium.
That's what the outside does.

You'll see it shining bright in the night.
People barely living wasting their time.
But they live well on the outside.

We'll have to get there in the morning.
We don't have anything else to hold on to.
We're ****ing pathetic on the outside.

A gun and fresh suit minus the blood.
We'll be fine once we settle our differences.
Hopefully it'll happen just as quick as before.

Wow ...... maybe you're still editing or something (still "viewing") but I won't wait to just say that is the most awesome thing I've read lately. It was just a little tough at first for me to grasp the line of thought, the wholeness of the message, but this is GREAT. It's up there with the classics, in my mind at least, and I know the classics. Brilliant piece of work!!

Thank you so much! I just wrote it while I was typing it on here... like most of mine. And the message is that you shouldn't blame everything on someone else, or something else, especially if you're responsible.
