I wanted to post this in the "30-seconds" thread that somebody created 2-3 weeks ago(?) but now I can't find it. I wrote this in about 3-1/2 minutes (truly!) except for one line that took me about another 5 minutes. So I wonder if this is any good at all
In the panoramic view
I've got nothing to lose
Maybe a friend or two
But they didn't choose
To get involved or be part of
The disaster called love.
If this is a puzzle
It's because I muzzle
Myself every day
Till I find a way
To break away and work my escape
From a disaster called love
-Chorus 1
Can't see what it did to me
Wanted to believe and finally see
That the impossible could be
But it destroyed you and me
The only salvation
Is rehabilitation
Of what used-to-be
Maybe not to a 'T'
But close enough to smooth the rough
From the disaster called love.
-Chorus 2
Can't see what it did to me
Wanted to believe and finally see
That the impossible could be
But now I just want normality
I'm standing alone
In a no-trade zone
I won't give up
On my sweet buttercup
Bosom friend to the very end
(?...pause, music stops...?)
Just call it one-way love.
