Aşkıydı işiydi ihtirası düşüydü
Yere batsın faturası malı mülkü
Bağlasalar durmam
Kaşıydı gözüydü intikamın gücüydü
Ayıp denen bir şey var ya hasbinallah
Bğlasalar durmam insanım insan
Hadi kalk gidelim hemen şu anda
Kapa telefonunu bulamasın arayanda
Açarız radyoyu yol nereye biz oraya
İyi gelmezmi hiç deniz havası
Bi göz oda bulur sokarız başımızı
Bide koyarız iki kadeh
Kafa nereye biz oraya
Aşkınada işinede
Viran olmuş düşünede
Yerli yersiz sözümede
Dövmediğim dizimede
Pişmanım pişman
Hadi kalk gidelim hemen şu anda
Kapa telefonunu bulamasın arayanda
Açarız radyoyu yol nereye biz oraya
İyi gelmezmi hiç deniz havası
Bi göz oda bulur sokarız başımızı
Bide koyarız iki kadeh
Kafa nereye biz oraya

Sıla - Kafa
The hours of pain have yielded good,
Which prosperous days refused;
As herbs, though scentless when entire,
Spread fragrance when they’re bruised. -
i wanT that too

aNd i'm leFt to discoVer on my owN...
It seemS like everythinG is graY...

I've been listening to that song non-stop
Glad someone wants it too
The hours of pain have yielded good,
Which prosperous days refused;
As herbs, though scentless when entire,
Spread fragrance when they’re bruised. -
Kafa - Head
Aşkıydı işiydi ihtirası düşüydü
(It was) his love, his work, his dream was (or were, if pointing also back to love and work, depends on how you interpret it) his passion.
Yere batsın faturası malı mülkü
May his bill, his goods and chattels sink into the ground.
Bağlasalar durmam
I wouldn't stay, even if they chained me up.
Kaşıydı gözüydü intikamın gücüydü
(It was) his brow, his eye, the strength of revenge.
Ayıp denen bir şey var ya hasbinallah
There is something called shame, ya hasbinallah.
Bğlasalar durmam insanım insan
I wouldn't stay, even if they chained me up, I'm a human, a human.
Hadi kalk gidelim hemen şu anda
Come on, let's leave right now at this moment.
Kapa telefonunu bulamasın arayanda
Turn off your phone and let those who call you be unable to reach you.
Açarız radyoyu yol nereye biz oraya
We'll turn on the radio and we'll go wherever the road takes us to.
İyi gelmezmi hiç deniz havası
Wouldn't sea air do any good?
Bi göz oda bulur sokarız başımızı
We'll find a boxy room and have a roof over our heads.
Bide koyarız iki kadeh
And then we'll also fill up two chalices.
Kafa nereye biz oraya
Wherever the head goes we'll go there (I think when drunk and your head spins around?)
Aşkınada işinede
Your love and your work,
Viran olmuş düşünede
And your dream have fallen into ruins.
Yerli yersiz sözümede
And my speaking out of turn (or reckless words),
Dövmediğim dizimede
And the knee I didn't beat (the fact that she wasn't filled with remorse),
Pişmanım pişman
I regret, I regret.Last edited by PlainChaos; 02-21-2011 at 06:25 PM.

Great singer.
Great song.
Great lyrics.
Great translator.
Thanks a million, Plainiciğim! -
Plainy, thanks
"İyi gelmezmi hiç deniz havası" > That sentence sounds more like a suggestion to me, like "Wouldn't sea air do any good?"
I didn't see the meaning you got before reading your translation.
@star, I think the original version is better but I thought Kafoz is a different songBtw, "Boş Yere" sounds like a slower version of "Kafa", agree?
