Default Humanity's Fears (help me think of a better name please)

This is another song where it changes what it was supposed to be about. It was originally intended to be about acceptance and the end of prejudice, but now it's like saying you have to make a choice between good and bad or something...I have a tune for it in my head which I quite like, if I get it done you can listen. Anyway, tell me what you think (sigh yes it has the same format as all of my work):

    [Verse]

    You call me silly things,
You flash your diamond rings, well,
    I'm glad for this opportunity

Lie back, just enjoy the view,
Hold on, I forgot it's you,
    You don't give in easy

    [Pre-Chorus]

    I know who I am,
But you are you to judge?
    We leave the same footprint,
    But mine is much deeper

    [Chorus]

So don't look at me in hatred,
    When you don't even know,
Cos when I look at my reflection,
    I know I'm in control

Don't ignore the words of wisdom,
    Don't block out the truth,
    Whoever said we're innocent,
    Just doesn't know youth

    We all cry together,
    We all die together,
So who does that make me?
What do you chose to be?

So don't look at me in hatred,
    Drowning in tears,
I'm not lying I'm not faking,
    But these are humanity's fears

    [Verse]

Step back and see the light,
Now you know wrong from right,
    Which path do you take?

We've all, earned a crown of thorns,
"Stay back", the devil's angel warns,
    "I cannot take more heartbreak"

    [Pre-Chorus]

    I know who am I,
And I know what I'll be,
But you've got to make a choice,
    Give in or be free

    [Chorus]

So don't look at me in hatred,
    When you don't even know,
Cos when I look at my reflection,
    I know I'm in control

Don't ignore the words of wisdom,
    Don't block out the truth,
    Whoever said we're innocent,
    Just doesn't know youth

    We all cry together,
    We all die together,
So who does that make me?
What do you chose to be?

So don't look at me in hatred,
    Drowning in tears,
I'm not lying I'm not faking,
    But these are humanity's fears

    [Bridge]

    Make up your mind,
    Before I lose it all,
    You take what you get,
    But then comes the fall

    Remember the reason,
    Rejoice the truth,
    Don't hold it against me,
But whoever said we're innocent just doesn't know youth

    [Chorus]

So don't look at me in hatred,
    When you don't even know,
Cos when I look at my reflection,
    I know I'm in control

Don't ignore the words of wisdom,
    Don't block out the truth,
    Whoever said we're innocent,
    Just doesn't know youth

    We all cry together,
    We all die together,
So who does that make me?
What do you chose to be?

So don't look at me in hatred,
    Drowning in tears,
I'm not lying I'm not faking,
    But these are humanity's fears

Oh! I read this earlier and had to hand over the laptop... sorry!!
Anyway, I like this!! It's kinda gritty but still flowing and I think this line "But whoever said we're innocent just doesn't know youth" is pure genius.
But the name... ah, the name!! I racked my brains and I'm stumped, I'm afraid. I loved the line so much that I almost suggested "Our Devil's Angels" but I dunno if it works...
"If you were me, then I'd be you, and if I were you, I'd hide somewhere faraway..."

Oh sorry, I didn't mean to be like pushing you to reply! Thanks for your comment

I think the song just might be too loose to have a proper name, like there's no real theme. "Know Youth"? No...

And genius? I'm not so sure...

Our Devil's Angels sounds like it could be one of my stories

Oh, no, you weren't being pushy! I'd completely forgot to comment and I had so meant to! :P
I know what you mean. I couldn't pick out anything to squash into a title :/ Still like it though!!

And oh, an author too, are we? :P Have you checked out Authonomy?
It does sound like a good story title, doesn't it? Hmm......
"If you were me, then I'd be you, and if I were you, I'd hide somewhere faraway..."

I don't think my stories are the sort that...help me think of a complaint...people would want to read? I dunno, I'll think of a better complaint and get back to you.

You mean an excuse? Ha! If you've finished a story, they beg to be read - that is the point of stories!! As you just said "Don't ignore the words of wisdom/ Don't block out the truth" - don't make me quote your own lyrics back to you!!! :P (by the way, nice line!) Stories must be shared.

Oh, and how's about this for an excuse - I've been writing for a year and a bit and only have 94 pages, which is 2.5 parts of a 9-part story!!! -_-
"If you were me, then I'd be you, and if I were you, I'd hide somewhere faraway..."

Well how is this: my huge story series that I add more and more ideas to every day is a waste of time because it was originally based on a childish computer game, and it has a stupid title anyway, and nobody would want to read it ever, especially after that terrible rendition of The Silent Planet...

Is that a good enough excuse? XD

I will make you quote my own lyrics back to me, because it's fun. But it's too late now. I wonder if I will listen to myself...

So was mine - a game my little sister was playing on the internet and it just kind of exploded outwards and upwards and in ways no self-respecting idea should :P Just as a note - the author always thinks its worse than it actually is, because they know the story, it's harder to be sucked in. Actual fact, as said to me by Tim Bradford, author
"If you were me, then I'd be you, and if I were you, I'd hide somewhere faraway..."

Oh, well if the same happened for you then I guess I could get something going. Besides, I've made so many changes that you'd hardly be able to know what game it was based on. Can you believe I have four series of twenty episodes each planned and hardly any done, and there is a spin-off sit-com called Silly Mishaps...But don't go Google Searching for it, you'll never find it (muhahahaha).

And the Tim Bradford? That's cool

Keep it up! Post it up like I did. Get critical feedback. Change it. Change it some more. Perfect it.

Haha, you don't know how wierd it is hearing the Tim Bradford. You do mean the one who wrote Small Town, England and Groundwater Diaries, don't you?

Haha!! If I'm honest, I haven't read any of his books... and he's my uncle!! :P Kinda cheating...
