    so this song play during the 1 episode 1 season THE L WORD, almost in the end of the episode. it's a woman singing this song, it's calm and beautiful, the guitar is playing, kinda country but not it.

    as far as i could understand the words are :

    Red face Mr Airplane Man

    The name of the song is, oddly enough,"How Long". It's performed by Mr. Airplane Man and it's available for download at the iTunes Music Store. The song playing during the teriffic love scene between Tina and Bette at the end of the pilot episode is also by Mr. Airplane Man, and is titled "Up in the Room". Hope that helps.
