I can agree with part one of your sentence - but as far as the second part is concerned that's not true. If you didn't have ear for music your lyrics wouldn't have any flow at all. And they have

I agree with Paul. I'm not a musician, but I taught myself basic guitar. I can't sing either, but I do! And I am amazed at how many people do like my music and my singing. So, don't be too quick to judge yourself without giving yourself a chance. Then let your audience be the judge. "Just do it".
