my boyfriend speaks fluent english but he is croatian and i wanted to impress him (he will know i had help since i know like 2 sentences) can you please translate this for me? thank you so much!!
We're both looking for something
We've been afraid to find
It's easier to be broken
It's easier to hide
Looking at you, holding my breath,
For once in my life, I'm scared to death,
I'm taking a chance, letting you inside.
Feeling alive all over again,
As deep as the sky, under my skin
Like being in love, she says
For the first time
Maybe I'm wrong,
But I'm feeling right where I belong
With you tonight
Like being in love
To feel for the first time
The world that I see inside you
Waiting to come to life
Waking me up to dreaming
Reality in your eyes
Looking at you,
Holding my breath,
For once in my life
I'm scared to death,
I'm taking a chance,
Letting you inside.
I'm feeling alive all over again
As deep as the sky under my skin
Like being in love, she says, for the first time
Maybe I'm wrong, I'm feeling right
Where I belong with you tonight
Like being in love to feel for the first time
We're crashing
Into the unknown
We're lost in this
But it feels like home
I'm feeling alive all over again
As deep as the sky under my skin
Like being in love, she says, for the first time
Maybe I'm wrong, I'm feeling right
Where I belong with you tonight
Like being in love to feel for the first time

It's like 3am, and I can barely see.. But since no one has responded, I decided to do it. It's not perfect though..
We're both looking for something – Oboje trazimo nesto
We've been afraid to find – Sto smo se bojali da nadjemo
It's easier to be broken – Lakse je biti slomljen
Looking at you, holding my breath, - Gledam te, zadrzavam dah
For once in my life, I'm scared to death, - Prvi put u zivotu, na smrt sam uplasen
I'm taking a chance, letting you inside. – Rizikujem, pustam te unutra
Feeling alive all over again, - Opet se osjecam zivim
As deep as the scar, under my skin – Duboko poput oziljka, ispod koze
Like being in love, she says – Kao kad si zaljubljen, rece ona
For the first time – po prvi put
Maybe I'm wrong, - Mozda grijesim
But I'm feeling right where I belong – Ali osjecam kao da sam tacno gdje trebam bit
With you tonight – Sa tobom, nocas
Like being in love – Kao kad si zaljubljen
To feel for the first time – Osjecas po prvi put
The world that I see inside you – Svijet koji vidim u tebi
Waiting to come to life – Cekajuci da ozivi
Waking me up to dreaming – Setam do snova
Reality in your eyes – Stvarnost u tvojim ocima
Looking at you, - R
Holding my breath, - E
For once in my life - P
I'm scared to death, -E
I'm taking a chance, - A
Letting you inside. T
I'm feeling alive all over again
As deep as the sky under my skin
Like being in love, she says, for the first time
Maybe I'm wrong, I'm feeling right
Where I belong with you tonight
Like being in love to feel for the first time
We're crashing – Mi srljamo
Into the unknown – u nepoznato
We're lost in this – izgubljeni smo
But it feels like home – ali se osjecam kao kod kuce
I'm feeling alive all over again -
As deep as the sky under my skin
Like being in love, she says, for the first time
Maybe I'm wrong, I'm feeling right
Where I belong with you tonight

Haha
-
Ja sam vec primetio nekoliko "montenegristina" u tvom navodno hrvatskom prevodu..
-
Xaxaxaxa..
-
E to bi vec zeznuto bilo, priznajem
Malo smo skrenuli s teme, off-topic spam zesci, hahaha
-
ummmm i dont know what you guys said but is it correct? i saw something about google translate??
-
@isabella glavan:
Don't think no one wanted to translate you the song, we were waiting a Croatian man/woman to translate it, since we, "active" members, speaks Serbian or Serbo-croatian, so we are not fluent Croatia speakers, so to say.
Well, Croatians do say "točno", right? If you had found "sjutra" or "šjutra", you would have smelled Montenegrin. -
Isabella, we were just joking around.. lol The translation is 100% accurate, and with my suggestion that "tacno" -> "tocno", I (Serbian guy) transformed this SoyPoliglota's Montenegrian translation into Croatian..
It's as Croatian as it can be..
Now.. Learn this, and then you can tell us your boyfriend's reaction... -
Since I am the one who translated the song, I'll explain it to you once again. Croatia is an ex-yugoslavia country, just like montenegro. We speak the same language and we understand each other very well. The differences between montenegrin and croatian are similar to the differences between british and american english. We were just joking because people think that montenegrin and croatian are two totally different languages, and the truth is that they are almost the same..
As Ina and Dzomba already said, I think that your boyfriend won't notice so many differences, and I'm sure he'll be happy because you are trying to learn our language!
Don't forget to tell us his reactions! -
)
We've been afraid to find – Što smo se bojali da nađemo*
It's easier to be broken – Lake je biti*slomljen
*bit
Cheers! -
ina, don't pretend to be Croatian when you're not...
Hahahahahahaha
awww thank you. yes i am familiar with the history of the country. i was in high school when the war broke out. my school had 3 people from "yugoslavia" 1 was serbian, 1 was croatian and i am not sure the other--i just remember their names, petar, zoran, neb (neb was short for something.) the language is VERY VERY difficult. i think because the language families are SO different (english/croatian). i didnt know that about croatian and montenegro. that's very interesting. thank you all so much for the explanation. i truly appreciate it.
